The Grand Canal (Venice Italy)

Venice’s Grand Canal is a bustle of activity with gondolas, private water taxis, speed boats, and vaporetti running up and down the canal day and night.  The preferred mode of transportation being via waterway in a city where cars aren’t allowed--and probably wouldn’t fit down most of the narrow lanes anyway--the Grand Canal is the main artery of transportation for Venice.
