While I usually focus my photo of the day on a grand monument or beautiful landscape, I thought this close-up might be a nice change. Sometimes there is just as much beauty in the little things as in the big ones! This shot was taken at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. If you look closely, you will find a whole ecosystem of life teeming inside the gardens.
