Sunset in Cienfuegos (Cienfuegos, Cuba)

Cienfuegos is a small city on Cuba’s southern coast. It is a port city with a French feel and some beautiful Neoclassical architecture for which it has been named a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city’s malecon (a paved walkway along the waterfront) is an ideal place to take a stroll, especially at sunset. Watching the suns golden rays blaze orange across the bay renders the city’s name–which translates to “100 fires”–very apropos.
