I would like to say that for as far back as I can remember, I have wanted to travel, that it’s always been in my blood. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. I found the thought of leaving the country daunting, but in early 2008 I decided to take a change and plan a trip to Europe. That trip changed my life. I learned there was a whole amazing world out there to explore, and instead of trying to see as much of it as humanly possible, I’d been spending my life hiding from it.
The cultural differences I had feared so much became intriguing to me. I began to immerse myself in the sights and people and history of my destinations. Soon interest in one place turned into interest another and another… I have traveled through Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. I love planning out my trips and researching each destination, but I’ve found that even after all the planning in the world, the unexpected things are usually the most memorable.
For as far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a writer. From the age of 6, I eagerly soaked up books as if they were water in the Sahara. In college, English was my first choice as one of my majors. With my new found love of travel and experiencing new culture, sharing those experiences seemed like the obvious next step.
I love sharing my adventures, observations, itineraries, photos, and tips to save other travelers time/stress. Over time, I hope to add stories, advice, reviews, and so much more, so keep checking back!
