Maya Bay, where they filmed the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo DiCaprio, is as gorgeous in person as it was portrayed in the movie. Sure, the throngs of tourists can be a bit much, but if your guide times it right, you can experience this little piece of paradise with minimal interruption. Sitting on the white, soft sand beach, looking out at the turquoise blue of the water with the rising dark green peaks encircling the bay makes you feel as if you are on a movie set yourself.
