Düsseldorf has a wonderfully inviting waterfront promenade lined with bars and restaurants with a beautiful view of the river. The day I visited, it was a perfect summer day, and strolling along the river was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Rollerbladers, sun-worshippers, and strollers alike all seemed to be out enjoying the weather and the atmosphere.
