Ceiling of Pictures, Vatican Museum (Vatican City)

The Vatican Museum houses countless priceless treasures. The sheer magnitude and size of the museum is enough to exhaust most people just at the thought of tackling a portion of it. Not only does the Vatican Museum house some of the world’s most famous and priceless works of art, but the museum itself is also a part of several of the works. While the Sistine Chapel is the most famous–and for good reason–this hallway (and countless other walls and ceilings covered in frescoes) just goes to show that the Vatican literally has art everywhere, from floor to ceiling! I love the effect in this hallway of the paintings appearing to go on for infinity because that’s exactly how it feels when you’re there!
