Nice seemed like a good post for a rainy, chilly New Year's Eve. A little sun and warmth to ring in the New Year! Nice is known as the epicenter of the French Riviera. It conjurs up images of bright blue water, giant yachts, and jet-setters. All of those things are in Nice, but there is also the inevitable tourist crush found in most popular beach towns during the height of summer. That being said, I can understand the tourists' attraction to this famed city. The water truly is amazing, I could spend hours walking along the city's harbor staring at the yachts as big as houses, and the people-watching opportunities can't be beat. Plus, if you have an itch to gamble, the city is only a stone's throw from Monte Carlo.
