Hluboká Castle (Hluboká nad Vltavou, Czech Republic)

Hluboká Castle is a perfect stop-off point between Prague and Český Krumlov. It feels a bit out of place for the Czech Republic, though. The castle looks as if it belongs somewhere in the English countryside--and for good reason. The family who built Hluboká had the edifice modeled after Windsor Castle, having fallen in love with it during a visit to Great Britain. The grounds are beautiful, particularly when all of the roses are blooming (our visit was in early October).
